Capitol Skating School & Capitol Figure Skating Club would like to congratulate Jennifer Marsland on receiving her Gold Medal from US Figure Skating. This is an awesome accomplishment for any Figure Skater.
In order to pass the Gold Test, a skater must demonstrate to a panel of judges the ability to skate at least a four minute program displaying a mastery of all five double jumps and two double-double jump combinations, with power, extension, precise footwork, and strong edge control. The program must be performed with style, rhythm, grace and sureness, in harmony with the music, and utilizing the full ice surface.
It takes years of dedication, training, and perseverance to achieve this goal. Jennifer reached this level of excellence with the support of others. Capitol Skating School & Capitol FSC coaches, and parents all play a very important role in creating an environment in which skater is able to become a US Figure Skating Gold Medalists.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams . . . -Eleanor Roosevelt-
